Kim Nate was born and raised in the Bear Lake Valley and grew up ranching and enjoying the great outdoors.  As an avid hunter and fisherman, Kim has developed a deep-rooted love for land and open spaces, especially the wild mountain ranges of northern Utah and southeastern Idaho.  Kim started working for local ranchers at a very young age, gaining a valuable education through "hands on" experience and good old fashion hard work.

Kim's strong work ethic, keen business senses, and warm people skills have been honed by a distinguished career in the railroad industry followed by successful ventures as a small business owner.  Because of his passion for horses, ranching, rodeo and nature, Kim has for the past 14 years chosen to manage cattle for large grazing associations on some of the west's most wild and beautiful grazing allotments, and to consult private landowners on range health and strategic grazing practices.

Kim brings to A5 Real Estate an incredible expertise in ranching, large scale livestock management, rotational grazing strategies, land management and wise land stewardship practices.  As an Idaho licensed real estate agent, Kim has utilized his experience to help many clients identify important and needed operational changes, skillfully develop property expansion plans, and then successfully locate and acquire properties that solve their needs and objectives.  Kim also finds time to manage his own livestock and property.

Patrick grew up hunting and fishing throughout the west and has a deep love for western wildlife and land.  After graduating from Utah State University with a degree in wildlife management he went on to work in the Wildlife Department on the Deseret Land and Livestock ranch studying Mule deer and Elk interactions with domestic livestock, as well as Greater Sage Grouse.  With a young family, Patrick reluctantly left full-time wildlife management to pursue a career in education, but still remained active as a wildlife and lands consultant to numerous landowners.

With his children of sufficient age, Patrick has recently returned to land management full time. He specializes in assessing and designing wildlife management programs for landowners that maximize the economic benefit of wildlife on working ranches. Patrick believes that wildlife and agriculture are not only compatible, but mutually beneficial when proper management practices are utilized.

Patrick is the past president of the Salt Lake Chapter of the Mule Deer Foundation and is a life member of the Rocky Mountian Elk Foundation. Patrick also owns Paleoland Holdings and American Fossil LLC, which specialize in paleontological assessment of western lands for economically viable fossil resources.

Patrick’s formal education includes a B.S. in Wildlife Management from Utah State University ’97, and a Masters of Educational Leadership from Southern Utah University ‘17.
